Instructor Development Course
Ever thought about introducing people to the wonders of the undersea world? Wondered what it would be like to watch people you have taught take their first breaths underwater? Then come and talk to us about transforming your life and becoming a PADI Instructor by completing your Instructor Training with us!
Teaching scuba diving allows you to share your love of the aquatic world with others while doing what you enjoy – being in, around and underwater. PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors are the most sought-after dive professionals around the world because they’ve completed the programme that sets the standard for training dive professionals. You earn a PADI Instructor rating through hard work and commitment, but you’re rewarded with a job that lets you share incredible underwater adventures with others – transforming their lives for the better and enriching yours.
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts – the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) programme. Most dive professionals complete the entire IDC and go on to attend an Instructor Examination (IE), which is the final step to earn a PADI Instructor certification.
Our Points of Difference
There are several reasons why you should complete your PADI instructor training with us, these include;
- You won’t be stuck with a large student loan at the end of the course. Our courses are not tertiary courses. As such they are structured more around the PADI requirements of the course enabling you to be an effective Dive Instructor. You won’t need to get a student loan if you learn to become a Dive Instructor with us as the costs are much lower
- When you complete a PADI IDC with us your instruction is provided by a PADI Course Director for the entire course. This is unique in the Auckland area and a real advantage to your training.
- Our IDCs are run outside of working hours over approx. 1 month leading up to the IE. This approach is again unique and enables learning over a longer period where we are teaching you how to be a PADI Instructor and not just pass the IE. It also means that if you are working you won’t be required to take annual leave to complete the course.
- All of our students have a 100% record of passing the IE at the first attempt!
